Welcome to Boy Scout Troop 993!

Boy Scout Troop 993 is part of the Sam Houston Area Council, Mustang District, in West Houston sponsored by Ashford United Methodist Church. Troop 993 is a boy-led troop that is mentored and supervised by adult volunteer leaders. Parents are a very integral part of our troop program. It is through their participation as ASMs and Troop Committee members that we can provide a safe, interesting and varied program. Boys ages 11 - 17 are invited to join our troop. We meet every Monday evening at 7:30 PM at the Scout building behind the Church located at 2201 S. Dairy Ashford Rd, between Westheimer & Whitington.

Eagle Project - Max Chin, Funding Request

Posted on Jul 15 2018 - 6:42pm

Hi Scouts and Parents,

Due to a conflict with a troop event, I have decided to postpone my eagle project to August 11th.  We will be replacing benches for Emerson Elementary School located at 9533 Skyline Drive in Houston.  I will be sending an email later in July requesting volunteers.  In the meantime, I am still in need of some funds to purchase the necessary supplies and materials.  If you wish to donate, please visit my GoFundMe page at  https://www.gofundme.com/Maximos-Chin-Eagle-Scout-Project.  Any amount of donations would be greatly appreciated.

Pizza Planning Party, Aug 10 7:00pm - Aug 11 7:00am

Posted on Jul 15 2018 - 6:41pm

Every scout in the Troop should plan to attend. The Planning Pizza Party is the event where you have the opportunity to talk about your favorite outings and vote on which ones we will engage in over the next year. You should have at least 3 weekend outings and one summer camp option in mind and have information on hand to speak to your troop mates about your selections.
